25 February 202014.00 Former Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak died at the age of 91. He was operated on a month ago and has been in intensive care since then and his condition has worsened in recent days. In power from 1981 to 2011, he was forced to resign after the massive popular demonstrations. Arrested and tried for failing to prevent security forces from shooting protesters, he was in prison until 2017. He was later acquitted of all charges, except that of corruption with his two children.
