The January 25 Revolution remains an inspiration to many Egyptian writers and creators from different angles. The latest literary work that took the revolution as its subject is the novel by writer Muhammad Salamawi, “Oedipus in the Plane,” recently published by “Dar Al-Karma” in Cairo.

The novel takes some of its importance from its author’s contact with political circles before and after the revolution, and his being one of those who preached it in his novel “Butterfly Wings”
