According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, a total of 164.4 thousand traffic accidents last year in Russia, which is 2.2% less than in 2018.
It is specified that the largest number of road traffic accidents in 2019 was recorded in the Republic of Tuva, where 858 accidents per 100 thousand units of transport.
This figure is more than ten times the number of accidents in Chechnya (76 cases per 100 thousand vehicles).
In the fall of 2019, the All-Russian Popular Front (ONF) reported a decrease in the number of accidents in 22 of the 38 cities in which the study was conducted.
