It was on Sunday that the woman was arrested in her home for attempted murder and has since been arrested on the arrest in Gävle. It was when the woman was on her way to a transport to the district court in Hudiksvall that she quickly became ill. Police tried with cardiovascular rescue. The woman was taken to hospital and there she was found to have died.

- During my 16 years as a prosecutor, this has never happened to me before, says Carl-Johan Granlund, prosecutor in the case.

- Since we have no other suspect, the case will now be closed.

Defender: "She was deprived of her medicine"

Later in the afternoon, the police announced that the woman's death will be investigated by special investigations (SU) in Stockholm.

In connection with the hearing, the woman's defense attorney criticized her being deprived of her heart medication when she was placed in custody.

"She told me she would feel very bad about it," the lawyer said in court.

Mikael Hedström, press spokesperson for Mitt police region, does not want to comment on the incident at large, but does not like the criticism from the defense lawyer.

- In this situation, it is SU that has to make a statement. I do not give any other comments, but I find it strange that a defense lawyer expresses this way. It is not their job to take care of the person, but to defend the person.
