New drama in the mountains. A 28-year-old hiker missing since Sunday evening was found dead this Monday near Gourette in the Pyrénées-Atlantiques. His lifeless body was discovered by the high mountain gendarmerie platoon (PGHM) with the support of a helicopter, reports France Bleu Béarn.

The young man had left alone, on Sunday, with snowshoes in the sector between Lake Anglas and the ridges of Pène Sarrières. Originally from Pau, he fell 400 meters according to the first elements of the investigation.
