“In order to prevent the import and spread in Moscow of cases of a disease caused by the new coronavirus, sanitary-quarantine control at Vnukovo International Airport has been strengthened,” the statement said.

As noted, a compulsory quarantine inspection of the relevant aircraft was organized.

“In total, from 01.01.2020, 509 flights were inspected, of which 19 were from China. The number of inspected persons is 119,786, of which 6,261 people arrived from China, ”the department added.

Earlier it was reported that a passenger with suspected ARVI arrived in St. Petersburg from China. As stated, two people with suspicion of ARVI were taken to the hospital, one was a Russian, the other a citizen of the PRC.
