Former President Amadou Toumani Touré has returned to Mali for good. Victim of a coup in March 2012, he had left Mali for a long exile in Senegal. The former president was greeted this Sunday, December 15 by a large crowd.

" I came to welcome the president who is back to the fold, " says a supporter of the former president, Amadou Toumani Touré dit ATT. As on his arrival at the airport, several hundred supporters stormed the private home of the former president of Mali.

" He is the father of Malian democracy, dedicated, he taught us to love each other, " said another supporter before being interrupted by another support from the former president. " Without ATT, there is no Mali, it is ATT the solution ". According to those around him, the former president will no longer do politics in Mali.
