08 December 2019Thousands of people in Hong Kong are marching through the parade departed from Victoria Park and promoted by the Civil Human Rights Front, the group that in recent months has managed to involve up to two million in large anti-government and pro mobilizations -democracy.

Today's initiative, which surprised the police with a surprise, celebrates 6 months of protests that started in June against the extradition law in China and then became an opportunity to solicit democratic reforms, starting with universal suffrage. For the organizers, today's big procession is the "last chance" for the former British and pro-Beijing colony leadership to end the political crisis.

Only two weeks ago, the local district elections sanctioned the unprecedented victory of the pandemocratic front, capable of winning 388 seats out of 452 and 17 out of 18 councils: an outcome capable of dismantling the claims of the governor Carrie Lam and her administration over existence of a "silent majority" opposed to protests.
