An electric fault caused by a fire has led to a stop in the train traffic on the Mälarbanan at Kungsängen.
- It started burning in a cable drum in one of the tunnels, says Magnus Löfgren at the Swedish Transport Administration's press release.
After the fire, commuter train traffic is still between Kallhäll and Bålsta.
- We have put buses on the Kallhäll-Bålsta route and vice versa, says Andreas Strömberg, press informant at SL.
The regional trains on the Stockholm C-Västerås-Örebro-Gothenburg section are also affected and several trains have been canceled, but Magnus Löfgren states that SJ is trying to redirect the trains.
Traffic is expected to start no earlier than 6 pm.
