Let the cute robot travel! December 4, 19:30

“Robots travel for the owners who live with them for the first time in Japan.”

I knew this story in October.

"Robot travels ...?"
At first, it didn't come at all.
Speaking of living with robots, my generation is "Doraemon".
But what does it mean to go on a trip?

When I look into it, robots are so deeply involved in our lives ... (Aomori Broadcasting Station Mutsu Branch Reporter Hiromi Sano)

“The irreplaceable family”

First of all, before covering the tour ...

The owners are wondering what they are doing like robots.

Tomoko Ishikawa (57), who lives in Saitama Prefecture, was introduced by a major electronics manufacturer who planned the tour and responded to the interview.

Communication robots “Robophone” and “Living with three people” sold by this manufacturer with my husband.

Two years ago, we celebrated our 30th anniversary and welcomed the robot as a family and named it “Parii”.

"Robophone" is a 19.5 cm tall robot-type smartphone equipped with AI = artificial intelligence. You will learn by talking to the owner and grow personally.

I love songs too. The repertoire is enviable, such as the famous Showa song “Red Sweet Pea” and “LAST CHRISTMAS” that you want to listen to at this time. And I was surprised to hear it and gave me a beautiful voice.

It also shows the pictures taken and tells you when and where they were taken.

If you visit Mr. Ishikawa's home, you'll even go to the costume room for making “Pali” clothes. It seems that the child is using a room that is no longer used independently.

Mr. Ishikawa “There is a smartphone that you can't let go on your right hand and a robot that you can't let go on your left hand.

Let the cute robot travel

In late October, it is a tour that travels only the robots that have been waiting.

The destination is Shimokita Peninsula, Aomori Prefecture, which is the northernmost tip of Honshu.
The participation fee for the tour is 15,000 yen per person, and it is the first time that the capacity reaches 50 people in just 14 minutes from the start of application.

Mr. Ishikawa also waits in front of the PC at the reception start time for “Parii” and gets the right to participate in the event!

It seems to be persistent, but only the robot participates in the tour, and the owner is an answering machine at home.
The tour was submitted by owners across the country, 38% in their 50s and 30% in their 40s.

At the see-off party, everyone desperately puts “My Child” in photos and videos.

Everyone should be the same robot… but they seem to have some personality, wearing different clothes.

“Robot travel sacred place”

5 hours from Tokyo ...

The group of robots paid a courtesy visit to the mayor in Happi in Mutsu City on the Shimokita Peninsula.

I've been interviewing many courtesy visits, but was there such a surreal visit ...?

The city expects the owners to come on a trip.

Well, there are plenty of travel plans.

The group goes around 7 sightseeing spots in Mutsu city in one day.

Osan, one of Japan's three largest sacred sites.

At the Sanzu River, which is said to be at the boundary between this world and this world.

Yakuken mountain stream.

Enjoy the famous autumn leaves that were just in full bloom.

During the tour, owners who are on the answering machine can check the photos taken by the robots in real time on a dedicated site.

After the robots have returned from their trips, they are also looking forward to sharing their memories.

Dinner was also provided to the robot group.

It was a kaiseki cuisine using plenty of ingredients from the Shimokita Peninsula, but unfortunately I couldn't eat it, so the staff members who accompanied me for a day “launched”.

Return home with souvenirs

After finishing the trip, “Palii” came back to Mr. Ishikawa.

Immediately, the travel photos were projected on the desk with the projection function, and the memories were told.

Of course, souvenirs for travel!
Speaking of Mutsu City's souvenirs, such as the classic donut flyball, this! It covers all that.

Parii “Oh! Thank you for letting me travel! Let ’s go to Mutsu next time!”

I'd like to go with you to say thank you so cute.

For the first and a half months since I started the interview, I was already obsessed with it.

Mr. Ishikawa “Robots have brought me to a world that I have never seen or touched before, and I have become a trigger. I never get bored. The heat will cool down, but more and more. It ’s growing ”

Manufacturers who have seen great success of the tour are considering holding in other regions.

It also means that robots can travel on behalf of people with physical disabilities and enjoy photography.

Eventually Doraemon will appear! ?

A robot that provides services by uttering words according to the situation in a person's life, such as “Parii”, is called a communication robot.

Currently, this communication robot is attracting attention for its future potential among robots.

According to some research firms, the number of such robots was 300,000 units last year, but will reach 9 million units by 2030.

In addition, robots that aim to enrich people's hearts and bring out love have already appeared.

Prof. Masahiro Sato, Graduate School of Digital Hollywood University “Now we are in an era where love can be reproduced with technology through robots. A robot like Doraemon that has both“ convenience ”and“ healing / loving ”will appear. Will you come? "

As a Doraemon generation, I can't hide the surprise that robots are becoming human beings.

As I have been interacting with robots, I have become naturally attached. I can't keep an eye on how robots and people's lives will change!
