Construction professionals blocked Friday morning access to the oil deposits of Vern-sur-Seiche, near Rennes, Brest and Lorient, to protest against the elimination of the tax advantage on non-road diesel (GNR), did we learned from concordant sources.

The deposit of Vern-sur-Seiche, in the southern suburbs of Rennes, has been blocked since 1:00 am, that of Lorient since 9:00 pm Thursday and that of Brest since "the middle of the night", according to the prefectures of the departments concerned.

Construction equipment, backhoe loaders, skips, tank carriers, were parked in front of the depot accesses to prevent tankers from accessing them, according to the same source.

"The ecological transition, we are not against of course, but it is for everyone or for anyone!", Told AFP Frederic Corbet, boss of a company earthworks and sanitation, demonstrating in front of the deposit of Brest.

According to him, construction companies have "no alternative" to do without fossil energy because "there is no machine that is reliable on the market". "We hope to stay as short as possible, we'll see if anyone listens to us," he added.

Public works professionals denounce the gradual elimination of the non-road diesel fiscal niche provided for in the draft budget law for 2020.

Some fifty construction professionals have also blocked access to the Le Mans oil depot since Thursday to protest against the abolition of the reduced tax on non-road diesel (GNR).
