This was stated by the authorized president of Ukraine on land issues Roman Leshchenko.
“The Russians, in principle, are not discussed. This is an aggressor country, under no circumstances will they buy land. If by some mechanisms Russians appear somewhere, we carry out special confiscation to state revenue. This sanction norm will be clearly spelled out in the law, ”Interfax-Ukraine quotes him.
According to Leshchenko, the law will prescribe that only Ukrainians without dual citizenship living in the country will have the right to purchase land.
He also said that the President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky announced the submission of this land issue to a referendum.
Earlier, the Verkhovna Rada supported in the first reading the bill on allowing the sale of agricultural land to Ukrainian citizens and legal entities, as well as to some foreign individuals or companies that have been renting them for at least three years.
The leader of the "Fatherland" faction, Yulia Tymoshenko, appealed to the Constitutional Court because of the project.
