October 23, 201913.20 A Syrian Kurd set himself on fire in front of the UN headquarters in Geneva, Switzerland. The man, a 30-year-old who lives in Germany, sprinkled himself with gasoline and then set fire to the UNHCR courtyard, the UN High Commissioner for Refugees. Immediate help: the man was taken by helicopter to the Chuv of Lausanne, a hospital specializing in the treatment of large burn victims. Numerous witnesses, at the time of entry to the offices, and several people in a state of shock, assisted on the spot by psychologists.
