A financial agreement was signed this Wednesday between the Korean international cooperation agency KOICA and the United Nations refugee agency (UNHCR) in Mauritania. The agreement provides for a budget of $4 million over three years in the Hodh Chargui region.

According to the latest estimates, more than 107,000 Malian refugees are currently hosted in the Mbera camp and at least 80,000 outside the camp. In January alone, the UNHCR counted 14,000 arrivals outside theCamp.
