Orel opened case after hospitalization of a girl due to exhaustion


The investigating authorities opened a criminal case on the negligence of officials after hospitalization in Orel, an 11-year-old girl with a delay in psychomotor development in a debilitated state.

This was reported in the regional office of the Investigative Committee of Russia.

“A criminal case has been opened on the fact of improper performance of duties by officials of the bodies of the system for the prevention of neglect and juvenile delinquency on the basis of the elements of a crime under Part 1 of Art. 293 of the Criminal Code of Russia (“Negligence”), ”the press service of the department said.

According to the investigation, the girl was brought up in a large family in inappropriate housing conditions.

Moreover, the responsible officials did not take timely measures to protect the rights and legitimate interests of minors.

Currently, all eight children are removed from the family and are in specialized institutions.

Investigators conduct forensic examinations and interrogate officials, medical workers, as well as relatives and acquaintances of the family.

Based on the results of the check, a criminal legal assessment will be given of the actions of the mother of the children.

Earlier, the UK began a check on the hospitalization in Orel of a malnourished girl.
