11 June 2019 “With regret, Whirlpool Emea takes note of the statement released this morning to Radio Rtl by the Minister of Economic Development and Labor, Luigi Di Maio, of wanting to revoke the incentives granted and to block the payment on those requested, despite not having "the company never proceeded with any cancellation of the signed agreement". This is what is read in a note from the group of household appliances. "In line with the business plan signed last October," the statement underlines, "the company does not intend to proceed at the closing of the Naples site, but is committed to finding a solution that guarantees the industrial continuity and the highest occupational levels of the site ". Whirlpool Emea, the note concludes," reconfirms Italy's centrality and willingness to continue working with all the parties involved to find a shared solution. During the meeting at the ministry scheduled for tomorrow, 12 June, we hope to be able to start the journey with the institutions present and the trade unions aimed at resolving the dispute ".

This morning Di Maio said he wanted to sign the directive that revokes incentives for the company for 15 million euros.
