The A-tractor was purchased so that the son could drive to the school in a better way. It was bought and registered on the father. When the son used it for a while, he discovered that there was a switch that could be used to disconnect the speed controller which allowed the A-tractor to operate without restrictions when it comes to speed.

The son was allowed to continue to drive the A-tractor, even though the parents knew that it could drive much faster than 30 kilometers per hour.

The 16-year-old was filmed driving too fast

This summer, when the 16-year-old was driving the A-tractor, a witness followed and filmed when driving for over 100 kilometers per hour. The police were then called to the scene.

The police technical examination shows that the vehicle is considered a light truck. This means that the 16-year-old is not entitled to drive it and that is something that the parents have realized.

Växjö District Court convicts the father, who is the owner of the A-tractor, for permitting illegal driving. Dad is also convicted of allowing a son to drive a motorcycle without a driver's license. For the two crimes he is sentenced to daily fines of just over SEK 10,000.
