"According to the final autopsy report, there is no evidence that any person caused the child's death," says Lars-Gunnar Perlinger, deputy chief of the Root for Major Crimes.

Instead, the explanation for the child's death is stated to be sudden infant death.

It was March 21 this year that the three-month-old child was found deceased in the home of relatives. Two people were reasonably arrested on suspicion of causing the death of another, but were released shortly thereafter.

"Not everyone responds the same"

According to the first preliminary forensic examination, the child had no visible damage to the body.

Why the police then started a preliminary investigation into the death was that it took about an hour before those who found the child alerted the ambulance and police.

- But there can be many explanations for it being delayed and not everyone reacts the same in such a situation, says Lars-Gunnar Perlinger.
