For Helena Fhager in Lene, the canceled train stops have had major consequences. Among other things, the family has been forced to buy another car.

- My son goes to high school and now that the trains don't stop, we have to drive fifteen miles a week to push him to train and bus, and my husband can't commute by train to his job anymore either.

Helena Fhager is one of the members of the village team in Brunsberg and Lene who have collected names with demands for the stations to be opened again.

- We have no public transport at all now. In the first place we want the trains to stop, in the second we want a bus service.

"Strong opinion"

Today, the village team submitted a total of just over 950 signatures to the public transport committee, with demands that the trains start to stop again.

Jesper Johansson (MP) is the chairman of the board.

- It is interesting to see that there is a very strong opinion among the travelers that even these resorts have access to train traffic.

The train stop is re-investigated

And the much-debated closure of stations on Värmlandsbanan - and Fryksdalsbanan - is once again the subject of political debate. The Public Transport Board has ordered a new investigation to re-investigate the train stop.

- It is more difficult on the Värmlandsbanan than on the Fryksdalsbanan because there is much more traffic there, says Jesper Johansson (MP).

- We hope to be able to adapt the timetable so that the trains can stop at least on some tours, while it may be more difficult at other times of the day.
