08 October 2019A buoy in the basement of a building on the outskirts of Rome. This was found before the men of the municipal police who had to recover the two-meter snake. The brigade's Environmental Protection Department had to intervene in a building in Casal Bernocchi, to verify the presence of a reptile reported in a building. The snake, about 2 meters long, was found by agents at a common area in the basement of a building.

Aided by specialized staff from the local ASL, the operators were able to recover and secure the animal by transferring it to an appropriate veterinary facility.

Investigations are underway to trace the origin of the reptile, which is part of the genera protected by the convention on international trade in endangered species.
