Eight people found after a fishing boat collided and sank in the waters southwest of Hainan Island are still missing. The specific location of the sunken fishing boat has been confirmed, and professional forces are being organized to carry out on-site exploration and search work.

The cumulative search area exceeds 5,700 square nautical miles, and 1 life raft and life buoy have been found. As of 17:00 on April 6, the Hainsan Provincial Maritime Search and Rescue Center has dispatched 77 search and rescue vessels, 12 aircraft sorties, and 614 personnel.
