"Two lanes are completely shut down for an hour ahead," says Daniel Kaissidis, Södertörn's fire chief of operations.
At 13.25am, a rescue service was alerted about a collision between several passenger vehicles at Vårby farm in the direction of Stockholm.
"There are two accidents just next to each other with three cars in each," says Daniel Kaissidis.
Police, ambulance and emergency services are ordered to the scene of the accident.
According to the emergency services, eight people are involved in the accident, some of whom are reported to have minor injuries.
