A survey conducted by the Federal Competitiveness and Statistics Authority and the Emirates Space Agency revealed that the percentage of students' awareness of the activities and programs of the Emirates Space Agency reached 96.1%, while the satisfaction of students with the performance of the national space institutions exceeded 85% for all institutions.

The survey is the first of its kind in the UAE, to monitor the impressions of the local public in various segments of the UAE space program, which showed high levels of interest and awareness in the field of space, and its importance in supporting the march of the state and achieve its centenary vision 2071.

The survey showed that the degree of awareness among students in the space sector and its national institutions in the country was higher than the impressions of the members of the community (over 18 years), which indicates the success of these institutions efforts in instilling interest and love of access to the space sector and science and related bodies, where Students' awareness of ESA activities and programs reached 96.1%, while student satisfaction with the performance of national space institutions exceeded 85% for all institutions.

The unveiling of the survey coincides with the day of Hazza Al Mansouri, the first Emirati astronaut, to the International Space Station, marking a historic achievement for the UAE. .

The poll included all UAE nationals and non-citizens, male and female, in a demographic matching sample, consisting of community members and students, numbering 3727 participants in the survey.

The results revealed high ambitions and expectations towards the UAE space program, and its main strategic tasks, where participants expected the focus of the sector on a number of key areas, including the development of scientific capabilities by 90.5%, and sending and operating satellites to monitor the Earth by 90.5%, and the development of launch capabilities by 90.4%. , Sending space missions by 89.3%, and sending astronauts by 89.3%.

In addition, the survey surveyed community awareness of national space institutions, with the UAE Space Agency, Mohammed Bin Rashid Space Center, Masdar Institute of Science and Technology, and Sharjah Space Science Center being among the top national institutions in the field.
