Tokai University baseball club senior student forces new freshman to drink and assaults him. Tokai University has suspended club activities for the time being due to an incident in which upperclassmen forced members under the age of 20, including new first-year students, to drink alcohol and assaulted them.
The university sincerely apologizes for the great inconvenience caused to the victims and everyone involved, and says the details are currently under investigation. The club has produced many professional baseball players, including former Giants manager Tatsunori Hara and pitcher Tomoyuki Kanno.
