The sound installation Emergence by the artist Allessandro Perini is one of 14 public works of art that will be exhibited until October in Halland, Skåne and Västra Götaland within the X-sites art project.
Emergence is the only sound system and is located on the kiosk's roof on Stortorget in central Falkenberg.
Many people have thought that there is something wrong with the ventilation, says staff inside the kiosk.
But it's not. Instead, the sound is recorded by the sea and should remind the history of the place.
Financed by several municipalities- Here on the Stortorget, there was once a sea, too, says the municipality's art curator Alexandra Serra.
Falkenberg Municipality is one of the financiers for the art project, has contributed SEK 101,000 and has also provided the public place for the sound artwork.
Other financiers for the Dutch part of the project are Region Halland and the municipalities Kungsbacka, Varberg and Halmstad.
