According to information to Vimmerby Tidning, the men were arrested after being forced to leave their vehicle following a police chase that ended in Söderköping.

"There is a link between the getaway car and the two arrested," Ulf Gollungberg told police.

The burglary took place the night before on Wednesday and it was not the first time that thieves broke into stealing designer clothes. Since the clothes had been fitted with track transmitters this time, the police were able to take up the hunt.

Not suspected of previous burglary

By Saturday, Prosecutor Magnus Argus will make a decision on arrest. He is preoccupied with information because the suspected men are not yet heard in all parts. He tells SVT News Småland that they are not currently suspected of any of the previous six burglaries in the clothing store in question, but that they are included in the investigation.

None of the now arrested are residents of the areas around Vimmerby.
