Montenegro estimates losses from anti-Russian sanctions
Montenegro lost about € 2 billion due to anti-Russian sanctions, which the Balkan country joined in 2014. This was stated by the deputy of the Assembly of Montenegro, the leader of the "Democratic Front" Milan Knezhevich.
“To date, Montenegro has lost about € 2 billion due to anti-Russian sanctions,” he said in an interview with the newspaper Izvestia.
According to the politician, the result of the "unfriendly policy" was a decrease in the influx of Russian tourists and investments.
In May, Italian Deputy Prime Minister and Interior Minister Matteo Salvini announced the need to lift the sanctions imposed against Russia.
Salvini noted that such a policy is only detrimental and does not change anything.
