“Two strategic missile carriers Tu-95MS of the Russian Aerospace Forces, in the framework of the operational exercise“ Ocean Shield-2019, ”performed flights over the neutral waters of the Bering Sea,” the defense department said.
It is noted that the American F-22 and F-18 fighters at certain stages of the route were accompanied by Russian missile carriers.
The exercises “Ocean Shield-2019” are held in the Baltic Sea from August 1 to 9.
Earlier, the Amber Territory, citing the Baltic Sea Information Support Department, reported that the Baltic Fleet’s small missile ship Passat took part in the Ocean Shield exercises.
