The Berlin prison warden Wilhelm Rohde took over 1938 one of the prison camps in Emsland. Prisoners will report later that he humiliated them in Börgermoor, tormenting and murdering some. This portrait photo was taken around the time when the former camp leader was tried for the second time in 1959 - and was acquitted.
