Curious ice formations: What does it look like?

Photos of this rectangular Tafeleisberg are currently causing a sensation in the net. They were recently created in the north of the Antarctic during a flight of the Nasa project "IceBridge". According to the participating researchers, the sharp edges of the iceberg indicate that it has just broken off from the Larsen C ice shelf. In fact, scientists often encounter curious ice forms. This photo gallery shows some of them.
