In the process of the abduction of the billionaire's son Markus Würth a central evidence is at risk. In front of the Giessen district court, a man is accused of kidnapping the adult son of the Baden-Württemberg entrepreneur Reinhold Würth in June 2015.

The voice of the defendant Nedzad A. plays an important role in the process: the investigators base their indictment largely on the analysis and assignment of a telephone recording. The ransomed voice recorded on it should belong to the 48-year-old (read more about the investigation).

But in the meantime, witnesses seem to struggle with their memories. A 56-year-old reported in the process, she had the voice of the defendant "immediately" recognized that it was the voice of their craftsman.

As a farewell on the phone: "I separate myself"

For details on linguistic peculiarities, the woman had to confuse uncertainties. A 52-year-old witness, who was still "pretty sure" in his police questioning of the vote, now also spoke of doubts.

The recorded ransom voice showed various abnormalities, said a detective on the witness stand. He included his unusual farewell formula "I parted". The officials had distributed numerous wanted posters in the Rhine-Main area - the suspected place of residence of the perpetrator - and asked more than 6,000 people in a letter for help.

Nedzad A. is charged with extortionist robbery. He is said to have kidnapped Markus Würth with previously unknown accomplices in the East Hessian slot and have demanded three million euros ransom. The transfer failed, however, the victim, after a vaccine damage mentally retarded since childhood, was released unharmed.
