Following the abuse of dozens of children in a campsite in Lügde, the campsite operator has demolished the hut of the main suspect Andreas V. The corresponding work had already begun on Tuesday, reported several media, including the WDR and the "Lippische Landes-Zeitung".

The site had been searched several times in recent weeks for evidence. The alleged crime scene was released on 27 March, according to the reports, citing the authorities. "I would have preferred to make the whole parcel directly razed to the ground," operator Frank Schäfsmeier told the "Lippische Landeszeitung" previously.

More than 30 children, most of them between four and 13 years old, were abused for years at the campsite, according to investigators. Several suspects have been in custody since December, including Andreas V.
