Their Majesties the Emperor and Empress will once again visit Ishikawa Prefecture, which was severely damaged by the Noto Peninsula Earthquake, on the 12th of this month, and will visit the people affected by the disaster in Anamizu Town and Noto Town.

According to the Imperial Household Agency, Their Majesties will depart from Haneda Airport on a special plane in the morning of the 12th of this month, arriving at Noto Airport in Ishikawa Prefecture, and will visit Anamizu Town by Self-Defense Force helicopter in the afternoon.



In Anamizu Town, 20 people died and more than 6,000 buildings were damaged in the Noto Peninsula earthquake, and Their Majesties will inspect the situation in the town and visit people who are still living as evacuees. This award is given to those involved in disaster response.



Afterwards, Their Majesties again boarded a helicopter and entered Noto town, where eight people died, including those suspected of being related to the disaster, and more than 8,000 buildings were damaged, where they inspected the damage caused by the tsunami and visited an evacuation center. After visiting those affected by the disaster, they will return to Tokyo in the evening.



This will be his first visit to the Noto Peninsula earthquake-affected areas since he visited people affected by the earthquake in Wajima and Suzu cities on the 22nd of last month, but will be postponed to the 13th in case of bad weather.
