  In July 2007, the Dahekou Cemetery in Yicheng County was discovered stolen. In September of the same year, a large group consisting of the Shanxi Provincial Institute of Archeology (now the Shanxi Provincial Institute of Archeology), the Linfen Municipal Cultural Relics Bureau, and the Yicheng County Cultural Relics and Tourism Bureau was established. The archaeological team of Hekou Cemetery entered the construction site. After exploration, it was found that this was a Western Zhou cemetery with at least 400 tombs buried there.

  The excavation of Dahekou Cemetery in Yicheng not only unearthed a large number of important cultural relics such as bronzes, lacquerware, and jades, but also provided valuable information for the study of the utensil usage system and tomb system of the Western Zhou Dynasty. What is more important is the discovery of a feudal state in the Western Zhou Dynasty that has not been recorded in handed down documents - Baguo. It is of great value to the study of the feudal state in southern Shanxi during the Western Zhou Dynasty and its relationship with the Jin state.

  Tomb No. 1033 is located in the first excavation area of ​​the Western Zhou Dynasty Cemetery in Dahekou, Yicheng County, Linfen City, Shanxi Province. There is a waist pit in the middle of the bottom of the tomb, in which a sacrificed animal was found. According to previous research, M1033 was dated to the early to mid-Western Zhou Dynasty.
