He probably wanted to achieve his artistic breakthrough with the action, but instead he now faces trouble with the police: an employee secretly hung one of his own paintings in the Munich Pinakothek der Moderne. A police spokesman said a report of property damage was received. Reason: When hanging his picture, the 51-year-old man drilled holes in the wall. According to police, the incident occurred on February 23rd. The “Süddeutsche Zeitung” initially reported in its online edition.

The profession of the unrecognized artist helped him with the hanging campaign: as an employee in the technical area, he also had access to the museum outside opening hours. This is probably how he was able to install one of his pictures unnoticed. The picture probably didn't hang in the Pinakothek for too long. A spokeswoman for the house told the newspaper: "The supervisors notice something like this immediately." Further details about the picture - such as the style or motif - were not known.

In addition to the damage to property, the man, who describes himself as a freelance artist, also faces other consequences: the museum banned him from entering the building and his employment relationship was also terminated by a termination agreement.
