Europe 1 is proud to be associated with the seventh season of CANNESERIES, the Cannes International Series Festival. And among the sixteen series in competition, our listeners have made their choice. And it’s a French series that was named the winner this year. A series that could not make more news.

Which series won the “Europe 1 Audience Prize” this year? For this seventh season, Europe 1 has teamed up with CANNESERIES to bring the competition to its listeners as best as possible. On the Croisette, sixteen series competing for the various competition prizes were officially presented. However, listeners and spectators have been able to discover a multitude of other series since April 5. And besides, Europe 1 called on its listeners to elect their favorite French series.

A topical choice

This year, several broadcasts are particularly scrutinized. Among them,

Franklin

, a historical series with Michael Douglas,

Fiasco

with Pierre Niney and François Civil, or even

Brocéliande

, a TF1 series with Nolwenn Leroy and Marie-Anne Chazel. But it's a completely different series that Europe 1 listeners have selected.

This weekend, they finally set their sights on “Déter”. And it’s a French series! This tells the life of students at an agricultural high school in Brittany and sheds light on the difficulties of the rural world today. A more topical theme with the recent farmers' demonstrations which shook the country. The series, available on the France.tv platform, should end at the end of this season. But who knows, maybe this audience award could change things?
