This first edition of Hellfest Kids will take place on June 26 in Clisson, in a location close to the adult version, which will be held from June 27 to 30. This children's festival aims to educate young people about the art of metal.

If you're a metal fan, you probably know Hellfest. It's the annual meeting place for rockers and metalheads. The next edition will take place from June 27 to 30 in Clisson. And before going to applaud The Offspring, Metallica or even Shaka Ponk, the children will also be entitled to their mini metal festival. It will be held on June 26, the day before Hellfest, and only for CP students in the city. It will take place right next to Clisson.

This June 26, 800 first graders from nearby schools will be invited to listen to it while paying attention to the still fragile condition of the children: "In terms of sound, we have limited it a little. That's also why that we got closer to Guillaume because he is used to doing shows for children", declares Éric Perrin, employee at Hellfest Productions.

Raise children's awareness of metal

The Guillaume in question is nicknamed Aldebert who will present on this occasion his new project "Helldebert", on which several stars have added their guitar riffs or their voices like Max Cavalera from Sepultura. For Aldebert, inaugurating this Hellfest Kids is an honor, he who every year comes almost on pilgrimage to the Nantes vineyard.

"I've been coming for more than ten years now. There's all this decorum, it can be impressive, but I think it will appeal to them because children are naturally rock and roll. We're not just into songs funny and light, we also talk about school bullying, we must protect children from that,” declares the artist.
