The cherry blossoms are in full bloom at Tsuruyama Park in Tsuyama City, Okayama Prefecture, one of the most famous cherry blossom viewing spots in western Japan, and the park is crowded with many cherry blossom viewing visitors.

Tsuruyama Park in Tsuyama City, which is home to the ruins of Tsuyama Castle, a national historic site, is home to approximately 1,000 cherry trees, including Yoshino cherry trees, and has been selected as one of Japan's top 100 cherry blossom viewing spots.

On the 6th, blessed with good weather, many cherry blossom viewing visitors came from inside and outside the prefecture to see the cherry blossoms in full bloom.

Visitors enjoyed the spring moment by spreading out their lunch boxes under the trees and taking photos of the pale pink flowers with the castle's symbol, Bicchu Yagura.

Two cousins, a first-year high school student and a sixth-year elementary school student, said, ``The cherry blossoms in full bloom and the stone walls of the castle were so beautiful.Seeing the cherry blossoms makes me want to make a fresh start for the new school year.'' ” he said.

The Somei Yoshino cherry trees in Tsuruyama Park are expected to be enjoyed throughout the ``Tsuyama Cherry Blossom Festival,'' which is held until the 14th of this month.
