According to the official measurement of the China Seismological Network, a magnitude 4.9 earthquake occurred in Ludian County, Zhaotong City at 10:29 on the 6th. The focal depth was about 10 kilometers and the epicenter was located at 27.01 degrees north latitude and 103.44 degrees east longitude. The epicenter was 24 kilometers away from Ludian County, 44 kilometers away from the main urban area of Zhaoyang, 3.6 kilometers away from Huodehong Town in Ludian County, 8.8 kilometers away from Baogunao Township in Qiaojia County, and 11.8 kilometers away from Longtoushan Town in Ludian County.
