The Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare has announced the name of the company that purchased Kobayashi Pharmaceutical's red yeast rice to prevent health damage. We are requesting that you conduct a voluntary inspection to see if any of the products for which you have received information are present.
Of these, it is known that 52 companies that purchased raw materials directly from Kobayashi Pharmaceutical did not have the relevant products, but 173 companies that received raw materials from these companies submitted self-inspection reports on the 5th. The deadline has passed, and the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare will announce the results as soon as they are compiled.
Regarding Kobayashi Pharmaceutical, the city of Osaka has issued a recall order for three products, including "Beni-koji Choleste Help," which contains the ingredient "red yeast rice," and the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare has ordered the name of the company that purchased Kobayashi Pharmaceutical's red yeast rice raw material. We are announcing this and requesting self-inspection.
The self-inspection will
be conducted on products that consume the same amount or more of red yeast rice per day as those contained in the three products targeted by the order, and those that
have been reported by a doctor for at least one health hazard in the past three years. Regarding the question of whether or not there are any products available,
it has been found that 52 companies that have purchased red yeast rice raw materials directly from Kobayashi Pharmaceutical have no such products.
Meanwhile, the 173 companies that received red yeast rice raw materials from these 52 companies are also conducting self-inspections, and the deadline for reporting their inspection results is the 5th.
The Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare will make the results public as soon as they are compiled.
