Looking back, in the last days before her death, it seems as if Kasia Lenhardt's life was on fire everywhere. She is insulted, threatened and blackmailed. Old phones of hers suddenly disappear.

In episode four, we have the last cell phone that Kasia Lenhardt used until her death digitally forensically examined. Some chats on the cell phone we have were irretrievably deleted. Probably also from Kasia Lenhardt herself.

There are more than 25 hours of voice messages from her phone, which we analyzed for this podcast with the permission of the survivors.

A few days before her death, Kasia Lenhardt filed a police report about blackmail and theft. And she is said to have made an appointment for the end of February. According to her lawyer, she planned to report Jérôme Boateng for assault. Boateng emphasizes that he never physically attacked Kasia Lenhardt.

For this podcast, SPIEGEL evaluated files, witness statements, technical equipment, clinical findings and more than 25 hours of voice messages. The two journalists Nora Gantenbrink and Maike Backhaus come across new evidence that Kasia Lenhardt may have experienced violence in their relationship, which Jérôme Boateng denies.
