According to the report, the city will take the lead in carrying out a demonstration experiment for eight months starting April 17th in order to introduce ``ride sharing'' in Miura City, where a shortage of taxis at night has been pointed out.



In the experiment, around 5 cars will be operated each day between 7pm and 1am, and users will use a taxi app to dispatch and pay for a ride.



The city is recruiting drivers from people who live or work in the city, and has currently hired 13 people, and will hire local taxi companies to handle training and operation management. .



"Ride sharing" services will begin in some areas from April 8th under a new system created by the country, but prefectures and cities will first conduct demonstration experiments to assess local needs and issues. Once we have an accurate understanding of this, we are aiming for full-scale implementation.
