A 36-year-old from the US state of Georgia has been arrested for allegedly killing his two daughters. According to investigators, the man set fire to his car in which the one- and three-year-old children were sitting. The Preston man is charged with homicide and arson, said the Georgia Bureau of Investigation, the state's criminal investigation agency.

On March 30th, the fire brigade and rescue service were alerted to a vehicle fire. After the fire was extinguished, the emergency services discovered the bodies of the girls.

Further investigations revealed that the man set the vehicle on fire because of an argument with his wife. Further details about the crime, such as the exact sequence of events, are not yet officially known. The alleged perpetrator is in custody.
