Actress Julia Stiles: Own children as “good training for working as a director”

According to her own statements, US actress Julia Stiles has her hands full as a mother of three children and with a new film project. "I'm a bundle of emotions because I have a five-month-old baby and I'm directing my first film," Stiles told The New York Times. The 43-year-old also has a six-year-old and a two-year-old son with her husband Preston Cook. She did not reveal the gender of her third child.

She thinks caring for children is “really good training for working as a director,” Stiles explained. »You have to think 10 steps ahead, but also be in the here and now. You have to have good time management. You have to be sensitive to people’s needs and guide them, but also maintain boundaries.”

Stiles is known to many from her roles in romances such as “10 Things I Hate About You” (1999). She later played CIA agent Nicky Parsons in the action series “Bourne”. For the film adaptation of the novel “Wish You Were Here” by Renée Carlino, Stiles was behind the camera for the first time.
