  According to official statistics, the crop damage area in Jiangxi is 57,000 hectares, 12 households with 44 houses collapsed, 80 households with 192 houses were severely damaged, 2,751 households with 4,107 houses were generally damaged, and the direct economic loss was 150 million yuan. The disaster situation is still under further statistical verification.

  Jiangxi has entered the strong convection season since March 23, and has so far experienced four severe convective weather processes. At 21:30 on April 2, the Jiangxi Provincial Meteorological Bureau upgraded the emergency response to major meteorological disasters (heavy rain) to Level 2.

  At 11:00 on the 3rd, the Jiangxi Provincial Hydrological Monitoring Center issued a blue flood warning. Affected by heavy rainfall, it is expected that floods around the warning level will occur in the Leping City section of the main stream of the Le'an River in the next 5 hours; the water level in the Yongxiu County section of the main stream of the Xiu River fluctuates. It currently exceeds the alarm level by 0.31 meters.

  The Jiangxi Provincial Prevention and Control Directorate decided to launch a level three flood control emergency response from 22:00 on April 2.
