Kenji Suzuki, a former NHK announcer known for hosting numerous programs such as ``Invitation to History'' and ``Interesting Quiz Seminar,'' passed away due to old age on March 29th. He was 95 years old.

Kenji Suzuki was born in Tokyo in 1929 and joined NHK as an announcer in 1952 after graduating from the Faculty of Letters at Tohoku University.



He has served as the host of numerous programs, and on ``Invitation to History,'' he has gained popularity for his uninterrupted explanations, which have been called ``Suzuki storytelling,'' and on ``Quiz Interesting Seminar,'' he uses his wide range of knowledge to show off his soft smile and He conducted the program with a humorous style, and became a popular announcer among the people of Japan.



Also, at the Kohaku Uta Gassen held at the end of the year, Suzuki served as the MC for the white group three times, and in the 1984 Kohaku, Harumi Miyako, who was retiring as a singer and served as the hostess, said, ``Give me one minute.''
