, the actor was tried in immediate appearance on March 29. He was "found guilty of contempt of a person holding public authority committed because of race, ethnicity, nation or religion, of violence aggravated by two circumstances followed by incapacity not exceeding 8 days and public insult due to origin, ethnicity, nation, race or religion",

The actor, intoxicated at the time of the events, had uttered racist insults towards the bus driver, of Comorian origin. Hit in the face, the victim had to be transported to the emergency room. 

Rachid Hafassa played for more than ten years the role of Karim Fedala, Abdel's father, played by Marwan Berreni. The latter killed himself last summer following a road accident involving his vehicle.
