After six years of absence on the air, the cult reality TV show "Secret Story" will make its big return on TF1... next Tuesday, April 23! La Une has just announced the big news in a press release.

Great news for Secret Story

fans

. The cult reality TV show will finally make its comeback on the front page after six years of absence.

Christophe Beaugrand at the helm of the show

TF1 announced via a press release that the new season of the program would be launched on Tuesday April 23, at 11:30 p.m., just after

Koh-Lanta.

The Secret Story dailies will be offered every day of the week at 5:30 p.m.

On the animation side, we will find Christophe Beaugrand, who knows the program well. The host had in fact succeeded Benjamin Castaldi in 2015 before the show ended two years later. The Voice will obviously be present in the House of Secrets to accompany the candidates.

TF1 relies on viewers' nostalgia

The comeback of Secret Story is not a surprise. Just a year ago, Jean-Louis Blot, the president of Endemol France, expressed his desire to relaunch the program during an interview with Le

 Parisien.

“We want to make this brand exist, revive it and show that people love it,” he declared.

“We want the program to come back, obviously. It is a brand that is perfectly appropriate for current uses, between television and the web.” TF1 has been banking on viewers' nostalgia for several months by relaunching programs that have become cult like

 Star Academy

or, more recently,

Plus belle la vie.

The return of

Secret Story

is an integral part of this strategy. It remains to be seen whether the public will be there!
