been signed on any television ." It is the phrase with which sources familiar with all the details of
Broncano
's signing by
RTVE
describe the points that this Thursday the Board of Directors of the Public Corporation will have to validate or not.
The contract, which they describe as "draconian", includes two seasons - from September 2024 to July 2025 and from September 2025 to July 2026 -, with interruption on Christmas dates determined by RTVE according to its needs.
The maximum total production cost for each season is as follows:
14,076,135.31 euros plus VAT
, with a maximum of
87,975.85 euros plus VAT on average per chapter
. The agreement states that the budget for each season may be reduced based on new agreements between the parties according to the needs of the program and/or its final cost.
Each season will consist of approximately 160 episodes, to be broadcast from Monday to Thursday, with a duration per episode of between 70 and 80 minutes. In addition, each season will consist of a minimum number of 155 episodes. La Resistencia, if they finally keep the rights to the name that is currently in the hands of Movistar Plus+, will be broadcast on La 1 in the access prime time slot, which is scheduled to start between 9:30 p.m. and 9:45 p.m. And here comes one of those "anomalies" to which RTVE sources refer: if the start is scheduled for those hours, La 1's News 2 would have to be cut either by 25 minutes or by 10 minutes, something that Nothing has been liked in the News management.
The production will be fake live, and may be carried out live due to the needs of RTVE, prior agreement with El Terrat. In addition, David Broncano Aguilera (as presenter/host of the program), Jorge Ponce Rivero and Ricardo Castella Serrano (collaborators) are a mandatory condition "unless otherwise agreed."
