China News Service, Beijing, April 2 (Cao Xufan) In order to further promote the standardization and high-quality development of the e-sports industry, the National Internet Culture Standardization Technical Committee (hereinafter referred to as the "National Internet Standardization Committee") recently held an e-sports standards project in Beijing The working group prepares for the establishment of a seminar. The meeting brought together representatives from upstream and downstream enterprises in the e-sports industry chain to discuss the future direction and implementation path of e-sports standardization work.

  The seminar was led by the Creative Industry Technology Research Institute of Renmin University of China and received responses from many leading companies in the e-sports field such as Tencent, NetEase Games, Perfect World, Kuaishou Technology, and Intel.

  At the meeting, Guo Yang, deputy chairman and secretary-general of the National Internet Standardization Committee, introduced the functions and responsibilities of the National Internet Standardization Committee and the phased results achieved in the standardization of Internet cultural products and services. He said that as an important part of online culture, e-sports' standardization work is of great significance in promoting the healthy and standardized development of the industry. The National Internet Standardization Committee has achieved certain standard-setting results in this field, and looks forward to further promoting the standardization process of the e-sports industry through the establishment of the e-sports standards project working group.

  Song Yangyang, deputy director of the Creative Industry Technology Research Institute of Renmin University of China, then elaborated on the establishment background, goal positioning and preparation matters of the e-sports standard project working group. He pointed out that while the e-sports industry is developing rapidly, it is also facing an urgent need for standardized and systematic development. The working group will rely on the advantages of "industry, academia, research and application" in colleges and universities, and is committed to becoming a platform for the development, transformation, service and exchange of national standards for e-sports, and promoting the high-quality development of the e-sports industry.

  During the discussion session of the conference, representatives of participating companies spoke one after another and conducted in-depth discussions on e-sports talent training, venue operations, event specifications, e-sports equipment, industrial park planning and other issues.

  Liu Qiang, chairman of the National Internet Standards Committee, emphasized in his concluding speech that the establishment of the e-sports standard project working group is an important milestone in the development of the e-sports industry. He asked the working group to not only pay attention to the standard formulation process, but also to focus on the implementation and development effects of the standard to ensure that the standard can truly serve industry development and market demand.

  Participants said that with the vigorous development of the e-sports industry and the continuous release of market potential, the establishment of the e-sports standard project working group is expected to inject new impetus into the further standardization and development of the industry. (over)
